Parish Nursing

St Andrews Parish Nurse provides Asylum Seekers & Refugees in St Helens with specialist support for Spiritual/Pastoral Care, Health Advice, teaching and self care for minor illnesses, help to access NHS services, Mental Health and emotional support. Social prescribing and health promotion. Advocacy & NHS liaison. The service is provided via the Oneworld Community Health & ell-being groups and through outreach clinics/home visits.

Parish nurses are registered nurses commissioned by churches (voluntary or paid) to provide the local community of all ages and backgrounds, any faith or no faith with a variety of holistic healthcare initiatives.

Parish nursing is supported by the Diocese of Liverpool, Parish Nursing Ministry UK & St Helens CCG - Languageline.
